Renter has not given us our last months rent that we paid when we moved in?

When we moved into our apartment the landlord at the time required a first and last month plus all other deposits. We moved out Nov 30th 08 by this time the apartment had gone through about 5 managers. Well this new lady proceeded to tell my husband that we had only paid a 200$ dep. Let's just say all the numbers she gave us didn't match the numbers on our lease paperwork we also saved all of our receipts because we have had an apartment manager pull one over on us. So we put in writing exactly what we were owed which totaled 1300$ after all refundable Dep. and our last months rent oh and we were supposed to be getting a 27$ discount on our rent for the first year we were there and did not receive that discount we also have proof that we never got it. So we kept all receipts gave them copies because they had NONE of our original paperwork. Well it is now Jan 9th 09 and we have only received 485$ which was just our security dep and the refundable part of the pet fee. I have contacted them several times to resolve this and they keep telling me they will contact me when they hear anything this is not ok with me. Owe they owe us the last months rent because we paid it when we moved in and we ended up paying for the last month again instead of just giving notice. I know a lot to read but we need some advice, I want to contact a lawyer because I am tired of getting the run around and I can't just show up because I now live in Alaska and all this happened in Washington state. HELP
