How do we get an 8 year old to wear her gles?

My 8 year old granddaughter started to wear gles about a month ago for myopia, and she has to wear them all the time (except sleeping, of course). Recently we have caught her not wearing them, and one of her excuses was the gles "broke". They "broke" right at the bridge of the nose! Kind of hard to do, I would think, without a little help. Is there a website for children that might ease them over the embarrment (perceived) of wearing gles?
