Why does it seem like kids these days don't want to dream big?

Okay so im senior cl president and I was having a conversation with the underclmen in the lower level cles(pre-algebra, Elementary chemistry, etc) and talking to them about their futures and all of them said when they grow up they wanted to be like accountant, and office worker(lots of entry-level careers) I thought they were kidding but they were right. That saddens me alot. Also The #2 person in our cl (4.02 GPA) said he wanted to go into law enforcement. Our school is filled with great teachers (80% Bachelors, 15% masters, 5% PhD) So it not the teachers , so could it be parents or just are kids(ages 14-18) just lazy?
