What is the role of CFC's in ozone depletion?
the CFC's are invisible, they were even mistaken as a very good discovery and no effect what so ever to the environment, it is only in this late century that the scientists found out about it. CFC's are everywhere. spraypaints contains it, spray net, airconditions, car a/c, refrigirators, refrigirants, styrofoam, car seats, helmets, etc. but now there are these similar things that are CFC free. you can see it on its container. but the car aircons especially those old models, they still use the freon or refrigirants that contains CFC, basically coz it can't run on newer version, but mostly because its cheap to buy the old version. the CFC affects by breaking down the gases in the atmosphere because it rises and there are no plants in the sky and i think it is impossible for a plant to survive in that environtment, i mean thousands of feet above land, and therefore cannot be made to a safer gas. CFCs stay up there, breaks down the gases in the ozone layer, w/c i think it is as big as australia nowadays. it is a miracle for it to be restored but we can all help by not using CFC-containing things, use less vehicles, use less airconditioners and use more of solar power and man power.
